56 Rwandese state school teachers from 10 schools in the Southern Province of Rwanda eagerly received HighLight’s training over a 2-day conference. Fred Buyinza (our HighLight partner representative in Rwanda) and David Freeman led the training which focussed on Keys for Wisdom in Curriculum (which can be applied to Rwandese National Curriculum) and Keys for Competence for teachers including ‘Behaviour Management’ and ‘Questioning Skills’. “We are going to use this – it will greatly help us†the teachers said.
In addition, David spent 4 days training Fred’s own staff in Fruits of Hope School in the capital city of Kigali. This new school is now officially registered as a good Primary School.
